This was a seminal moment and a real game-changer for the .tv tld. A sudden barely announced landrush. If you sneezed or blinked it was all over.
There was a stupid amount of junk on the old premium list (2bbchannel.tv, cc4web.tv, k1010.tv, etc) and that was eliminated. A lot of the remaining names, very good names, were made available for regfee, no premium, and most of those are already gone! The rest for the most part had their now one-time premium payment reduced aggressively and there were thousands of bargains, again mostly regd within a few hours.
Anyone still arguing that .tv is a junk tld needs to have their head examined. .TV means “internet television” to anyone in the world who sees it. Whats dumb about that?
